WE ARE DOUBLECAT
Founded in 2026, DoubleCat Productions is a studio like no other.
WE ARE A PRODUCTION STUDIO.
Starting in 2026 from the two cats, Allissoon Lockhart and Seb Burnett, from two points across the world Bristol, UK and Tokyo, Japan, we are here to get new ideas and stories off the ground! They met in England and reunited again at Annecy Festival, where this studio idea sparked.
Not an animation studio in the traditional sense, Doublecat is focusing on producing and consultancy: bringing teams together that can work on projects at any stage of development, whether that is animated series, music videos, interactive narratives, commercials or films.
"We’re keeping things super-agile and flexible to begin with. It’s great that we can be based in Bristol and Tokyo at the same time and collaborate with creatives and companies all over the world.
Why limit ourselves to one area when we have experience in so many? The cats outta the bag and we want to continue to make new things with new people!”
At its heart Doublecat is about bringing stories to life. We’ve got a really exciting slate of projects already lined up, from animated shows and games to comics and even a live-action series. “It’s tricky in the industry right now, but people are going back to their creative roots. Creators are still coming up with great stories and audiences still want to immerse themselves in those worlds. We want to try and connect everyone together in whatever ways are most effective. We want to take our global network and use it to empower creators to get greenlit in any medium.”
We all want new stories, new shows, new games, new fresh ideas, new creators. We are here to make “new”.

SEB BURNETT
Executive Producer, Co-Founder
Seb Burnett is a writer, illustrator and animation director with 20 years experience working in the creative industries. Having first worked in the children’s publishing sector he co-founded Rumpus Animation Studios in 2010 where he designed characters and art-directed on commercials, children’s TV, music videos and short films.
Always keen to find new ways of storytelling, after securing significant development funding from Creative Europe and UK Gameslab, he developed The Adventures of Bertram Fiddle comedy Point and Click games. Both games were featured on the App Store with the first episode being shortlisted for Best New Game Bafta in 2015 and winning the Tokyo Indies Best Narrative Award. They continue to be sold on Steam, Xbox and Nintendo Switch with a loyal and eccentric fanbase all over the World.
In 2020 he left Rumpus to concentrate on illustration and writing, self-publishing collections of spooky stories and drawings through crowdfunding campaigns and selling at comic cons. A part-time teaching position soon became full-time, and he now leads modules on BA and MA level Illustration and Animation courses, focusing primarily on Pre-Production, Entrepreneurship and Sequential Storytelling.
Community and connecting directly with audiences have been central to Seb’s work and for the past two years he has organized the Fine Lines Illustration and Animation Festival, bringing together comic artists, game developers and animators to learn, network and share with each other and the public in a relaxed, fun environment. He is fascinated by spaces like this, whether physical or digital, where creators and fans can interact directly with stories and each other.
